1. Your notes stay yours
Notes Makers keep the copyright in their notes. The Notes Showcase Agreement only gives Notes Baba a free, non-exclusive licence to display them on Notes Baba while they are showcased.
2. Respecting others' rights
You may only showcase notes you created. Copying text, diagrams or pages from books, coaching institutes, websites or other students without permission is not allowed and will be removed.
3. Reporting copied notes
If you believe notes on Notes Baba copy your work, use the Report button on the notes or the Notes Maker profile and choose "These are MY notes", or write to us through the Contact Us page with: your name and contact details; links to the notes on Notes Baba; proof of your original work (for example the original file, dates or where it was first published); and a statement that the information is true and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
4. What we do
We acknowledge valid complaints within 48 hours where possible and act within the timelines required under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Copyright Act, 1957. We may hide the notes while we review, inform the Notes Maker, and delete the notes, restrict the profile or suspend the account if the complaint is upheld.
5. Counter-notice
If your notes were removed and you believe this was a mistake, contact us with your explanation and proof of authorship. We will review it fairly.
6. Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly upload others' work will be suspended.
